The Department of Pathology is accredited by College of American Pathologist (CAP).
The Department of Pathology is responsible for the performance of all laboratory procedures, which are required to support the medical mission of Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC). Requests for laboratory procedures beyond the capabilities of the Laboratory will be supported to the fullest extent possible. Appropriate specimens will be collected and routed to the appropriate referral laboratory for analysis. The procedures and technical information in this pamphlet applies to all VVGMC personnel who utilize the services of the laboratory.
The Laboratory Medical Director is board certified by the American Board of Pathology. All Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLSs) employed at VVGMC are state licensed to perform all respective testing.
Outpatient Laboratory Services: Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Routine services are offered during these hours. The Specimen Procurement Section is responsible for outpatient phlebotomy, specimen receiving and processing, and shipping samples to reference laboratories. Limited staffing and services are available during non-business hours, weekends, and federal holidays.
Clinical Laboratory Services: Offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Victor Valley Global Medical Center’s Maternal Child Services Department includes our Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric departments.

Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum
Focusing on our philosophy of patient centered care, VVGMC makes every aspect of your visit an extraordinary experience. From the birth of your first baby to the delivery of your first grandchild, count on the experienced, compassionate staff to make every addition a blessed moment allowing you to focus on what matters most.
VVGMC believes in skin-to-skin contact bonding with newborns. At every opportunity, we encourage this bonding practice between you and your new baby and make every effort to accommodate both parents’ practices. As you recover from the delivery of your baby, the caring staff watch over your new addition backed by decades of experience and knowledge.
Women’s Health Services
Additional services are available for Women’s Health including the Outpatient Imaging Center, “The Center” located in the White Dove Professional Building across from the hospital. Please see the links below for more information on services offered through The Center.

It is the policy of Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC) to provide services for operative and other invasive procedures and immediate post-operative care on a 24-hour basis. The department is staffed to operate 3 OR suites Monday through Friday, 0700 to 1500 and 2 OR suites Monday through Friday, 1500 to 1900. An on-call staff is available 1500 to 0700 for emergency procedures.

VVGMC’s Pediatric Department is unsurpassed in the High Desert for patient centered care. It can be traumatic for you and your child when a stay at the hospital is required. The patient and gentle staff in Pediatrics understands. They are dedicated to helping your child get better and back home to family and friends
It is the policy of Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC) to provide quality and comprehensive physical therapy at VVGMC that will restore, improve or maintain the patient’s optimal level of functioning, self-care, self-responsibility, independence, and quality of life in the inpatient setting. These services will be provided in a timely and professional manner, as prescribed, and in a manner consistent with the mission of VVGMC, as well as provide a compassionate rehabilitation environment for the patient and their family or significant others conducive to obtaining the above goals.
Respiratory Care Services
Types of Patients Inpatients, ambulatory patients, home care patients and outpatients. Age of Patients Services will be provided to patients in the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Procedures / Services Diagnostic and therapeutic Cardiopulmonary Services
Hours of Operation Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Diagnostic testing is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of cardiac stress testing, which is available Monday through Saturday, 0700 – 1530.
Goals Cardiopulmonary care designed in the treatment, management control and diagnostic evaluation in patients with deficiencies and abnormalities and alternatives of gas exchange.
Allied health specialty guided by a Medical Director.
The Center serves at Victor Valley Global Medical Center’s outpatient and inpatient imaging center and offers visitors the convenience of a one-stop preventative diagnostic imaging center, with state-of-the-art examination equipment by such manufacturers as Instrumentarium, Hologic and Toshiba.
The Center performs mammogram, ultrasound and bone densitometry testing.
The quiet, warm, comfortable pre-exam environment of The Center helps to relax visitors for examinations that can often be stressful, sensitive and uncomfortable experiences.

A chaplain or on-call chaplain is available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day if requested.

The Imaging Department of Victor Valley Global Medical Center serves a pivotal and critical role in support of patient care provided by the KPC Health System. The department serves the Victorville community with highly trained radiologists in the foundation of Diagnostic and Interventional services.
